Parissa Wax Strips for Legs and Body Review
Now, I can honestly say I consider myself to be a pretty low maintenance chick. I don't wear makeup most days, I dye and cut my own hair which is then thrown into a ponytail frequently, and I wear/have very few accessories. I do not wax (anywhere ) and very rarely tweeze anything. In fact, I can't even tell you if I've ever really tried to wax anything other than maybe when I was first a teen playing around with my mother's beauty products.
So when I was first asked to review the Parissa wax strips, I was pumped. I even told my daughter, Alana, not to shave for a week so we could both get a good waxing (haha). Parissa's Wax Strips for Legs and Body are "a mess-free, express hair remover that's ready to use. Zip away body hair instantly keeping skin smooth up to 6 weeks. Large Wax Strips with clear backing for fast, pro-style hair removal. Includes a vial of Azulene Oil to soothe & soften skin and prevents ingrown hair."
The question is does it actual work and is it worth it to wax? Now I have a pretty high tolerance for pain but really? How do other women do this to themselves? The strips were very easy to warm and apply and even the first couple not too bad to remove. But my the 3rd or forth strip I couldn't bring myself to pull anymore. Good Lord it hurt like hell and although the Azulene Oil helped afterwards my skin is just too sensitive to do something like this on a regular basis. I am sure once you try it a couple times your skin gets used to it or hardens a bit, you just won't find me trying to wax myself again.
I will say this the few spots where I was able to wax were very smooth and had very little razor burn which is rare for me. My hair usually grows back very quickly and is coarse almost immediately after shaving. The hair grew back much slower than the other areas where I wasn't able to finish the job.
Cost: $12 Legs and Body Wax Strips (includes a small vile of the Azulene Oil) $9 Azulene Oil
Available to purchase: Parissa Legs and Body Wax Strips
Parissa Azulene Oil
Recommendation: This is a hard one because if you've waxed before the price and end result is definitely worth it but if you are new to the waxing world it might still be worth it to try if someone else does it for you. If your like me with the sensitive skin I'd say skip it and stick to what you know.
