        Have you ever had swollen achy feet when pregnant?  Or have you ever been forced to wear some God-awful sandal like shoe in the dead of winter because you can’t reach your feet anymore?  I have.  I’ve been forced to wear a backless-style shoe in early December because I not only couldn’t reach my feet anymore and soak my tired piggies night after night.  Normal shoes just wouldn’t fit anymore because they were so swollen.

        New Life Shoes has come to the rescue of every sausage-toed pregnant lady out there which includes me this time around!   I contacted the company and they immediately sent out a pair for me.   They are the first athletic shoe designed specifically with the pregnant mother in mind.

        They have the ‘Z-Fit System’ that cris-crosses over the tongue of the shoe instead of laces.  It ensures that you can tighten or loosen the shoe with one hand, no more asking for someone to tie your shoes for you!  The tightening strap is located on the inside arch area of the foot, so you aren’t hopping around, trying to get your shoes on either.

        The shoes also feature a 5 layer insole and you can remove a cushioning spacer, so you can get a more comfortable fit for your ever expanding foot.  The company currently has the one style of athletic shoe “The Ashley” available in black, white and gray.  But not to worry, the website states that they will soon have casual dress shoes and sandals available as well.

Recommendation:  I truly thought they’d be very orthopedic, kind of “old lady” looking…… Not so, friends!  They are extremely comfortable and are now my ‘go-to’ shoe, now that it’s starting to get chilly outside.  I have  had quite a few compliments on them.  Plus, they are very true to size- something I was a little afraid of, seeing that I’d never ordered shoes online before.  Very comparable price to a normal pair of athletic shoes as well.
