Sinister Haunted House Utica, MI Review (Some adult content)

        We accidentally discovered Sinister last year because its tickets were a package deal with the neighboring haunted house, Realm of Darkness.  This was the best accident ever as we discovered a new level of haunted attractions.  We left our first year already planning on returning regardless of location this year.



        To start the horrifying experience, you have to enter the haunted house individually!  That alone adds a level of suspense as you know how most girls can be with holding tightly to someone else in hopes of being scared just a little less.  I don't want to give away too many details in case you choose to venture over there as you should.  This is definitely an attraction that you have some control over how intense your experience is.

        Each of the characters are truly in tune with their roles and are very interactive with you as you venture through each room/scene.  If your there just to make it out alive, you can go through like any other.  But if your like us, you want an intense, horrifying and realistic experience and they can give it to you.  Each character will interact with you as much as you like down to being a part of their show yourself.

        Instead of just jumping out and scaring you, they talked with you and played games with you throughout as well.  It was very difficult to tell what was real and what wasn't.  The level of detail was amazing from the scenes to the actual characters.  And I will warn you, be prepared to possibly get dirty.  And best of all there are NO animatronics, everything is REAL.

        The end scene was by far the best and most realistic I have ever seen of its kind!  We went through twice this year and the second time was even better than the first even after knowing what to expect.  I ran out panting and screaming like a lil girl (which isn't how I usually am).  Definitely well worth it, in fact we are planning on going again later in the season.

Recommendation:  This was by far the most interactive Haunted House I've ever been to.  I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys these sorts of attractions.  Its worth the trip if you aren't in the immediate area and is worth being on any of the top ten lists even in its second year.
