Tom's of Maine Children's Toothpaste, Children's Flouride Rinse, Beauty Bar Review and Giveaway

        Everyone knows we have an obligation as parents to take care of our children's health from the very beginning.  This includes their teeth from the very minute one pops out of the gums.  What some parents don't realize or I guess even think about it that they already have their adult teeth behind the baby teeth.  So even though we may think their only baby teeth and they'll be gone soon, that isn't quite true.  The health of the baby teeth determines the health of the adult teeth when they come in several years later.  Now coming from a family in dentistry  I already knew that but that doesn't mean I don't need a friendly little reminder every once in a while.

        The boys and I brush our teeth together all the time.  Declan loves to and in fact bugs me most days once an hour to brush his.  Dane on the other hand has to be coerced into it.  We have been through several types of children's toothpaste and he spits everything out complaining they taste terrible.  So when a sample of Toms of Maine came in once of my monthly box subscriptions, I thought "its worth a shot!"

        I've always thought of Tom's of Maine as an "older brand" and kind of brushed it off as something my grandmother would use.  But since Dane's first try of the Silly Strawberry Anticavity Children's Toothpaste, I will never think the same of the company.  Dane is OBSESSED and won't use anything else.  We in fact finally ran out of our sample and Dane refused to brush his teeth for 3 days (yes I am embarrassed) until we could buy another tube.  Dane even asks to brush his teeth so he can use "his" toothpaste.

        Thankfully when I told them of Dane's obsession, Toms of Maine was kind enough to not only send me more Silly Strawberry toothpaste but the Children’s Anticavity Fluoride Rinse Juicy Mint and the Daily Moisture Beauty Bar.  The fluoride rinse was great even though Dane was not a fan (as I didn't assume he would be).  Kevin and I both enjoyed it and thought it tasted just like juicy fruit gum!  The Beauty bar was well soap, there isn't much to say about soap except I felt like my skin was clean without any film or residue left behind.

Recommendation:  Well I think you can tell how obsessed we are with the toothpaste and I now know there is a reason for Toms of Maine feeling "old".  Its a dependable company that has been around since 1975 and one of the original natural personal care companies.
