Hot Iron Holster Review and Giveaway

        So I've already told you all that I don't consider myself a girlie girl but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy having the awesome tools that you would find say at a salon!  I actually don't travel to the salon often because of the costs involved and I usually cut and dye my own hair as well as everyone in my family.  But when I do venture to one I am always gawking and drooling over the awesome gadgets they have to make their days run a little more smoothly and organized.

        One of my favorite things that the hair salons have that I always wished I had was the little compartment they store their curling and flat irons in.  These always seem like such a great idea not only for storage but for salvage of other things like hands or plastic (yes plastic and if you don't know what I mean you must be a male reading this review)!

        A couple months ago I came across an awesome gadget that I just knew I had to try since it was similar to the same concept!  "The Hot Iron Holster is a heat resistant, silicone pocket that holds curling irons, flat irons or hair dryers. It is made of 100% silicone and consists of two parts: A roomy pocket for holding styling tools and a flap that grips household surfaces."

        I wish I could share the entire store of how the Hot Iron Holster came to be as it is one of the most adorable stories I've heard in a while.  But in short it was made by a mom frustrated with her pedestal sink, the dangers of her curling iron falling on the floor, and the instability of the curling iron balancing act.  You can read more if you like here.

     
        The Hot Iron Holster even attaches to pretty much anything as you can see we have it on a normal counter top.  You can even set it on wood, plastic or leather surfaces, you just want to be sure the surface area is clean before attaching (it can affect the grip if there is too much debris underneath).  It is easily cleaned and is heat resistant to 500° Fahrenheit!  This has been one of the coolest and least expensive products I've received in a long while!

Recommendation:  I think this is a great tool and it doesn't even have to be used for one specific item or in a specific spot.  I really don't think $25 is too much especially when this can save you burned (baby) fingers or melted plastic containers all over your counter tops!  Plus, if it organizes me in anyway I am all for it!!
