There are so many ways you can help out when it comes to being more "green" and saving your planet. Most of the time these tips and tricks can actually save you money in the long run as well!! You can recycle just about everything if you take the time to find out where and/or how? Things like glass, plastic, paper, electronics, appliances, and even some old food (if you compost).
You can look up your nearest Best Buy which is a great place to recycle old electronics. Regardless of purchase date or location they accept it and will safely dispose each product responsibly.
Not only does Best Buy carry a whole line of Energy Star certified products you can upgrade your old ones to but they will even "remove an old or obsolete appliance from your home for free when a replacement Best Buy product is delivered by Geek Squad® or Best Buy® Home Delivery". In some cases you can even turn in your gently used appliances for Gift Cards to Best Buy - Yes free money for doing the right thing!
