SLUGTERRA: Return Of The Shane Gang DVD Review and Giveaway

        On February 12, 2013, Shout Factory Kids, in collaboration with Nerd Corps Entertainment, released SLUGTERRA: Return Of The Shane Gang on DVD! I was honestly confused as to what the heck this DVD would be about.  We had never hear of Slugterra nor did we realize it was even a television program.  But Dane sure wanted to check it out!

        This is the first DVD collection based on Nerd Corp’s highly popular animated action series!  Included are five episodes as well as three bonus animated Slugisodes and a  unique code for online game Battle For Slugterra.

        The synopsis says "Eli Shane is determined to be the greatest slugslinging hero of them all. To do it, he’ll need to collect and train an army of little critters called slugs. When these magical creatures are fired at 100 MPH out of a high-powered blaster, they transform into powerful battle beasts! The adventure follows Eli and his team of friends as they explore the underground caverns of Slugterra, challenge rivals and each other to duels, upgrade their cool gear, and generally have a blast in this never-before-imagined world. But there is a very real threat to Slugterra; Dr. Blakk is seeking to “ghoul” the slugs, transforming them into feral mindless weapons!  No one has been able to stand up to Blakk’s powerful ghouls and army of henchmen… until now!"

        I have to say not only is Dane now totally obsessed with this show via DVD and of course we had to find it on TV too but it really was a cute "boyish" program.  It was filled with action and Dane said he loved how after each task or level completed they "got a new slug"!  We now have this program memorized and so do Grandma and Grandpa!      

Suggested Retail Pricing: $14.97
Recommendation:  Both boys enjoyed watching this and I actually thought it was pretty cute too!  I definitely think at $15 its worth it to purchase since I know we sure have watched our moneys worth.
