Soothing Company 5 Year Pomegranate Indoor Bonsai Tree Review

        You know never in my younger years did I have a green thumb and honestly wouldn't have believed I'd have one as an adult.  Slowly though I have taught myself the tricks and trades of creating (and keeping alive) a beautiful plant.  Because I've always killed most plants I started slower with a few herbs and vegetables which seemed a bit harder screw up and I have since then moved into a very plentiful garden including lots of fruit trees.

        When I discovered The Soothing Company a wile back I knew I wanted to review one of their awesome products they have available and then the opportunity came up to review one of their bonsai trees.  Since their focus was on these for the spring and I had never tried growing one, I was quick to agree.  I picked their 5 Year Pomegranate Indoor Bonsai Tree as it was absolutely gorgeous in the pictures online AND even stated "Enjoy the fruits of your labor - literally".

        It quickly shipped but upon arrival I was very disappointed to open a box full of packaging peanuts and not even the biodegradable ones-the old fashion Styrofoam peanuts that sit in our landfills forever. Very rarely do I comment on the way a package is shipped and probably should more often as a green blogger because this is the first thing I pay attention to.  Regardless I was very upset to find my little LIVE plant buried in them.

        Now I also know that these tabletop bonsai's are not supposed to be large (this one 8"-10") but I sure expected something a little more full maybe.  Mine looked as if it was dying so I quickly watered it and put it in a windowsill to get as much sunlight as possible.  Since then this little guy has perked up and is looking to have a bright future.  I cannot wait until fall when it is supposed to sprout itself actual pomegranate fruit.  Until then I get to enjoy the beautiful orange flowers in my living room!

Recommendation:  I definitely would recommend checking this site out as they have a huge variety of products available for just about any area of the home.  I am however not a fan of the pricing as they seem to be a little high compared to others with similar products.  Unfortunately, I would not have purchased this bonsai at $45.
