Our family was extremely excited to have the opportunity to review Wreck it Ralph! We have been talking about it since it made its way to theaters last year. Being that my husband and children are such avid gamers, we knew this would be a perfect family film!
"Marking a Disney first, Wreck-It Ralph Released with an Early Debut of the HD Digital and HD Digital 3D Versions - Available for Purchase on February 12, 2013. Followed by the Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, Blu-ray 3D™, DVD, SD Digital and On-Demand Debuts March 5, 2013"
The synopsis says "From Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Wreck-It Ralph” takes viewers on a hilarious journey. For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has played the bad guy in his popular video game. In a bold move, he embarks on an action-packed adventure and sets out to prove to everyone that he is a true hero with a big heart. As he explores exciting new worlds, he teams up with some unlikely new friends including feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman).
I don't even know where to begin without telling you about the whole movie because believe me we enjoyed this movie that much that I could go on forever! This was such a cute movie for any and all ages especially with all the colors and great graphics! The story line is action packed with some truly heartfelt moment which may even bring on some tears!
We decided to watch this the first time with Amy and her girls. All four children sat and had their eyes glued on the TV the entire time. We had actually assumed that after such a long hard day of playing that at least the little ones would pass out but they sure didn't want to miss a single part of this flick!
Because there were mostly older video games and characters, this film was absolutely awesome to watch as an adult with of course some adult gear jokes about the original games and characters. Alana was even disappointed that we decided to watch it without her and she of course had to view it for herself the next day. All three of my children have now watched this several times and it has become a family favorite!
Suggested Retail Prices: 4-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray +DVD + Digital Copy) $49.99 US and $56.99 Canada 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray +DVD) $39.99 US and $46.99 Canada DVD $29.99 US and $35.99 Canada
Recommendation: I would definitely recommend this movie to most anyone but especially if you have children or have ever in your life enjoyed video games! We absolutely love this movie and I am pretty positive we will be watching it for years to come! This is worth the purchase!!
