       There are a few things that I look at as an adult and realize how much I have changed as I've matured and different things are for the generations below me.  Growing up I was a total tomboy but when it came to the high school dances, I was anything but.  I attended over 20 dances in the four years I was there since my high school sweetheart attended another school in the district.

        Dress shopping season was always a BIG deal and I had to have the most unique dress ever.  Now I am a mother of a freshman girl in high school and I dread shopping with her because I know she is going to be the same.  What a pain I must have been to my mother in the beginning looking for a store which not only was up on the latest trends but had something on the next level!

        I was beyond thrilled to be asked to review a dress from PromGirl.net.  The timing was perfect as she of course would be attending the dance since she has a boyfriend.  They graciously sent me over their Clarisse Short Baby Doll Dress in gold.  What was specifically perfect about this dress is that Alana had been picking out similar dresses for weeks now and she loved the style as soon as she saw it!

        Available in either Gold or Turquoise, this dress features a sweet heart shaped neckline covered in sequins.  There is a gathered empire sash with multi layers of tulle curled at the bottom to give puff princess effect. We were a bit confused about the bow at first glance as it looked like it was supposed to lay horizontally but then we quickly realized the unbalanced sides making it meant to be pinned vertically.  This way the zipper is easily hidden.

        Alana wanted this dress on the moment it arrived in the door and was quick to try it on for any one who came over!  Our only complaint was how difficult the zipper was to zip in the beginning.  We had to work it for a while before being able to zip it while on Alana.  Because of Alana's beautiful dark skin tone, this dress perfectly compliments her and can be worn more than just to her prom but to events like the weddings we have this coming Summer!  This dress definitely makes her shine!

Recommendation:  I don't know what else I can say to recommend such an awesome site as they have quite the selection!  Even though the prices are extremely high on most of their dresses, there are some great sale priced dresses as well.  So it just depends on what your are needing the dress for as well as how much you are willing to pay to be different.  And to be honest there is a unique selection found on the site!
