Towards the end of last year I discovered an awesome company with a range of products that can help out you and your family in an extremely natural way. Xlear, founded by Dr. Alonzo H. Jones in June of 2000, manufactures all-natural and health enhancing products. They are "recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of xylitol products." I was recently given the amazing news that I chosen as one of the Lucky Xlear Blog Ambassadors! As I explained previously this meant I would be able to bring you first hand news about the amazing products they offer, so here is the first of hopefully many!
The Xlear Sinus Care Neti is similar to other neti pots in design however comes with the special Xlear Sinus Care Solution. The net pot is designed natural clean the nasal passage by "gently washing away debris and contaminants that build up. Xlear solution improves the efficacy of this method while soothing and moisturizing." This solution is a mix of pure Celtic Sea Salt, sodium bicarbonate, and pharmaceutical grade xylitol. So it promotes good sinus health and is safe for children, adults, and pregnant or nursing mothers.
This is going to prove to be a great tool in my household come the spring since we ALL have seasonal allergies as well as us older family members that suffer from severe sinus headaches and migraines. We have already begun testing this out to try to avoid these cold and allergy issues in the future. My only complaint is that I really hate rinsing through my nose and so do the little ones. Actually the only two who enjoy it are Kevin and Alana but if it helps me avoid getting sick I am still going to suck it up and do it!
Cost/Available to Purchase: $14.95
Neti Pot
Recommendation: Not only is this not a bad price especially because its a natural way to prevent sickness but most meds these days cost a minimum of ten bucks to put who knows what into your body. I think this is a great tool!!

This does sound great for allergy season. I'm a little leery of rinsing out my sinuses, but I think I'd prefer it to some of the over the counter medicines I currently use. Plus the price isn't bad.
ReplyDeleteI am a big believer in sinus hydration to keep my sinus infections low. I've also found that they help keep my allergies under control - both without drugs!
