However that being said we have a neighbor with exactly that issue. His little dog is quite the yapper and at all hours of the night as well as during the the day. Because his dog is mostly an outdoor one AND it's tied out towards the back of his home, we can hear the dog quite clearly from our master bedroom. This was particularly obnoxious when we had the boys sleeping with us.
When First Alert asked me to review their Bark Genie™ Automatic Bark Control, I was pretty pumped to give it a try and hopefully relieve some night time stress and getting more restful night's. This little gadget can automatically detect a dogs barking. It then emits an ultrasonic sound that only dogs can hear which is completely safe to use on all dog sizes and breeds.
We were able to toss this on our window sill with the window cracked open on days/night's weather permitted. This little device was also small enough to place outside discreetly near the neighbors yard and is weatherproof so I don't have to worry about it getting rained on. It "detects barking up to 50 feet away and has 3 adjustable levels of sensitivity". Since this arrived we have definitely noticed a decrease in our noisy furry neighbor!
Available to purchase/Cost: $39.99 Bark Genie™ Automatic Bark Control
Recommendation: Totally love this product! Not only did I notice it working without noticing it, but I think the pricing is a great one for a solution like this!
Giveaway: First Alert Pets is going to give one of A Lucky Ladybug's lucky readers a Bark Genie™ Automatic Bark Control of their own!

I will be giving it to my sister so she can use it. I am not sure which she would use it for.
ReplyDeleteMy dog barks when people ring the doorbell and it often scares kids, although he means no harm. I sure could use some help in teaching him not to bark.
ReplyDeleteFor our dog.
ReplyDeletefor our dogs. tam childers.
ReplyDeleteI would give this to my parents. They have a terrier that is a major barker - especially when they entertain.

ReplyDeleteI would like this to help with a neighbor's dog. She is outside for several hours after midnight when the neighbor returns from his second shift job and the dog frequently wakes the household with her barking.
ReplyDeleteMy six rescued companions feed off each other's "concern" - particularly when the postman arrives, but often simply to "advise" of other passing canines, or to express their initial displeasure at my departure from the house.
ReplyDeletePlan to use in my absence, then turn OFF when at home - as other reviewers have noted the device activates with other, normal household activity sounds, too!
This would be for my dog - a noisy husky.
ReplyDeleteI really like the uniqueness of your blog. You have some great giveaways.
ReplyDeleteI will use this for my dog

ReplyDeleteLiving in Army communities, you never know who will be your neighbor and you have lots of different ones. Right now we have a very vocal beagle right next door. Although I've mentioned his constant barking and howling, his parents don't care. This would be a god send even if it only cut back on his barking a quarter of the time.
I would use it for my dogs.
ReplyDeleteI would love to use this for my dog Coco who is yorkshire terrier and chihuahua. I rescued her from the shelter a little over a year ago. She barks constantly. I live in a centrally located apartment unit in my complex, where everyone walks by at one time or another during the day. She is such a a good watch dog that she alerts me every time someone is nearby. With a complex of 65 units, her barking can get too much. I don't want to drive my neighbors crazy with her barking, and get in trouble with management, where I could be asked to leave. I really can't afford to live anywhere else. This would be a god send to me.
