Honolulu Jewelry Company Turtle with Hibiscus Pendant Review and #Giveaway

        You now I'm not usually a big jewelry person but that doesn't mean I don't like to shop for it or even wear it frequently.  I just don't tend to change it all the time.  I mean, really how many girls do you know that don't like jewelry.  I just consider myself to be a little bit more on the low maintenance side.  Every once in awhile though, I come across a piece of jewelry that catches my eye or holds a sweet memory for me!

        Being the beach loving free spirited chick I feel I am I was playing around online not too long ago and discovered Honolulu Jewelry Company which instantly got my attention.  Following traditions started in the 1800's, Honolulu Jewelry Company makes a variety Hawaiian Heirloom jewelry as well as pieces which include Hawaiian wedding bands, flower and sea life jewelry, and several designer collections.

        "The story of Hawaiian jewelry began in the late 1800's when King Kalakaua visited the Royal Courts of England. He was then presented with a gift for Princess Liliuokalani at Queen Victoria's Jubilee...At the time of Prince Albert's death, bracelets were made in his remembrance by request of Queen Victoria and Queen Liliuokalani. Enameled lettering was used in reflecting the loss of their beloved Prince."

        I first visited the site because of the awesome giveaway they have going on right now where you can have a chance to win a trip to Hawaii AND to swim with the turtles while you are there!  Then, I realized the beautiful pieces they have and in my opinion especially the sea life jewelry!

        I was given the opportunity to review the Turtle with Hibiscus Pendant.  Made from Sterling Silver, it's very sturdy made and hasn't tarnished (even wearing it in the shower).  I love how simply elegant the design is.  There is also a beautiful Cubic Zirconia accent which adds an extra sparkle.

Recommendation:  This jewelry really is gorgeous and can be worn by anyone at any stage of their life.  There is a huge variety available which would make for a great gift in my eyes this holiday!
