Warm Traditions Hot Water Bottle Review and Giveaway

        When your infant first becomes a toddler, the first thing you think of buying (especially for your first and if you have boys lol) are the protective padding and lots of boo boo ice packs.  Now that my boys are five and two I also realize the importance of heating packs.  I never would have thought of purchasing a hot water bottle for myself or them until I received an email recently from Warm Traditions.
        We are usually quite the active family.  We use any excuse to spend time outdoors we can find which includes a lot of competitive sports.  Because both Kevin and I have been active since we were children, we try to continue teaching our kids to get moving in the same ways.  This has become quite the challenge for us as the years go on.  It is not necessarily because we are aging because everyone ages, but because of all the injuries we suffered as children and continue to sustain through our adult athletics.

        So when Warm Traditions asked me to review their adorable Lamb Hot Water Bottle in celebration of the Easter Holiday, I was kind of curious to see how it would work for my family.  This super fluffy and cuddly lamb doubles as a stuffed animal and a water bottle for children.  This can hold up to 1 liter of hot water and should stay warm for a couple hours.

        I truly had no idea that the uses of hot water bottles were endless!  You can use these for injuries, pain, when your sick and have the chills, tooth or ear aches, to keep you warm in cold weather, for bad period cramps, or to preheat a car or tent before entering.  You can even do the opposite and add ice water or freeze water inside to cool you off!

        I honestly wish I had thought about this for the boys when they able while they slept (instead of keeping them in my bed!)  This has been great timing since we seem to have completely indecisive weather this spring here in Michigan   I've been filling the lamb most nights and letting the boys sleep with it to keep their beds warm and cozy!

Recommendation:  I would definitely recommend having at least one of these in your home even if you don't have children.  There are endless uses and TONS of different styles to choose from.  The prices are very reasonable as these are something that are going to last for quite some time.  Plus you don't need to worry about leaving something plugged in like a heating pad if you use this alternative heating method.
