Bed of Nails Mat Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
We are usually quite the active family, either constantly on the go or frequently involved in competitive sports of all kinds.  Because both Kevin and I have been active since we were children, we try to continue teaching our kids to get moving in the same ways.  This has become quite the challenge for us as the years go on.

Although it has a lot to do with it, I know it's not necessarily 100% a result of aging.  Kevin and I have suffered tons of injuries over the years and having children has done a number on my body as well.  Of course, allowing my two children to sleep in our bed probably hasn't helped much either.

We've both been to several physical therapists over the years to help with the injuries and even considered chiropractors for the other issues.  Never once I have I considered acupuncture, though.  My best friend see's an acupuncture specialist on a regular basis and thinks the world of what it does for her Fibromyalgia.  Still, something has kept me from trying it out.

Then, Bed of Nails asked me to complete a review of their Bed of Nails Mat which "is covered with 210 acupressure plates, each in its turn covered with 42 rounded nails for a total of 8820 nails per mat and measures 16.5"x28.5"x1"."  Being that I carry a lot of stress throughout my body as well as all the injuries, I figured it might finally be time to think about alternatives to what we've already tried to help find some relief.

Bed of Nails can help alleviate things like headaches which Alana and Kevin frequently suffer from migraines.  It can also help with stress, constipation, insomnia, or the reduction in the appearance of cellulite.  And of course I wanted to try it since it is supposed to help with tension as well as muscle aches.

I was concerned it might be uncomfortable to lay on the mat at first but to be honest you barely noticed the acupressure plates.  It was actually very comfortable to lay on and to be honest although I didn't notice a huge difference in my pain and tension, I did feel relaxed after laying for about 20 minutes.
Available to purchase/Cost:  $50 Green Sun
Recommendation:  I think it is a good product to have around for those times you need a little extra.  I do think it is way over priced though as it didn't help me enough to make it worth $50
