Bedtime Math 2 Book Review and #Giveaway

I have to say one of the things I have always been terrible about with my children is reading to them at night before bed.  Each time I would attempt to read to them they would quickly get annoyed and want to either sleep or to watch a program and fall asleep to it.  I know how terrible this is but they have always seemed to learn better when it is their decision.  Being boys they enjoy the more interactive books and activities so we have always tried to incorporate those types of books during our day time reading sessions.

A while back I was given an awesome chance to review a book called Bedtime Math which my children absolutely fell in love with!  "Bedtime Math’s mission is simple: to make nightly math as common and beloved as the bedtime story. "  I find myself like most adults complaining that I am not up on the new math trends to help the kiddos with homework even though I studied engineering in college.  I was recently asked to give the 2nd book a review - Bedtime Math 2: This Time It’s Personal, which you know I of course hopped right on since the kiddos enjoyed the first one so much!

The Bedtime Math 2 synopsis says "This time, Bedtime Math 2 is getting personal and talking all about Y.O.U. Inside this book, families will find fun, mischief-making math problems to tackle—math that isn’t just kid-friendly, but actually kid-appealing. With over 100 math riddles on topics from missing socks and glitter to your favorite wild pet and how fast you can run, kids will find math isn’t just fun, it can be found in their everyday lives. And with three different levels of challenge (Wee ones, Little kids, and Big kids), plus a brand-new Bonus question, there’s something for everyone. We can make numbers fun, and change the world, one Bedtime Math puzzle at a time."

This time around I personally enjoyed being able to go through and also each of the boys the different levels of questions. I spent the time during the day asking Declan the easy questions and giving him that special treatment and attention. After school, I was able to sit with Dane and work through the same book just at a different level.  And in the evening before bed all three kids again read this together.  We just love that this book is not just geared towards one age group but honestly everyone!

Cost/Available to Purchase:  $10.11 Bedtime Math 2
Recommendation:  Definitely worth the money for this one and still the last.  This had great lessons for the kiddos and honestly kept them interested over and over.  Plus there is an online app and daily math problems on the website so all sorts of extras!  I think the whole program and idea behind it is a great one!
