This isn't like the average home owner who enjoys the look of stainless steel, it is so much more for me. The use of stainless steel in a kitchen has tons of benefits. Not only does it clean much easier than most other surfaces (ie. wood, acrylic) but it prevents bacteria from developing in the cracks and crevices like it can with those others. I love to cook, grill, bake anything and especially from scratch with the freshest and healthiest ingredients I can find.
When I cook, which is at least five days or more a week, my kitchen can seem chaotic to outsiders since you will find tons of tools, bowls, and cutting boards around on the counter. I do this because again, I have specific utensils I prefer to use but also to prevent any cross contamination throughout my process. And forget the whole process of grilling since transferring things inside and out is completely ridiculous.
I was beyond thrilled when I was stumbled upon the company WonderTop while looking for products for the kitchen at the new house. I then was even more excited to find out that they are a Michigan local brand. I knew this was a brand I had to work with! The WonderTop is a large, movable stainless steel food prep station.
My favorite part though is the front containment ridge in addition to the three sides. These keep any and all liquids, crumbs, excess trimmings, and anything really from spilling or cross contaminating other areas of your kitchen. It can actually over 50 oz. of fluid.
My major issue which I even had last year with our T-Rex cake, was transporting this once baked and frosted to a birthday location. Thankfully this year I was able to not only transport to and from the bowling alley we were at without damage but there was more than enough room compared to say your unstable cookie sheets.
I love using this for just about everything you can imagine but my favorite has been homemaking pizzas since it contains all the flour while pressing out my dough. I love finally having a way to keep my kitchen clean while cooking up one of our favorites. I cannot wait to use this while camping over the coming summer or for all my grilling once the weather gets warm!
Available to purchase/Cost: $99 WonderTop
Recommendation: If you couldn't tell by now, I definitely recommend purchasing this for your home. It is worth every penny and more. I actually have to say I am thinking long and hard about purchasing several more of these for my kitchen and finished basement bar area.

ReplyDeleteI really like the room of the stainless work surface it provides. I use my kitchen from baking to roasting and prep. This product would provide an additional work surface to use in different areas of cooking. I really love this product.
ReplyDeleteThe WonderTop would be great for clumsy me. I am always spilling things or losing whatever off of my baking sheets. I love that this is stainless steel--my mother told me years ago not to use any other metals in the kitchen but stainless steel. Yes, I have listened to her and I think this WonderTop could be an essential addition to my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for our kitchen. I'd use it every day for preparing our dinner. Since my fiance works until 7:30PM and I am a stay-at-home dad, I usually do the cooking for dinner and this would keep all the stuff contained inside and be easy to really clean and sanitize.
ReplyDeleteThis is very good idea. I want this in my kitchen to have nice, clean space to prepare food. I want to win so I can have equipment to cook more good food.
ReplyDeleteFor me, this is perfect. I do dog/cat rescue and always have a herd of cats, some of them inside. I've given up trying to keep them off of things(counter)as I would have to sit sentry all night long. With Wondertop it would give me a clean work area any time I needed.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite recipe to make is Tuscan Vegetable Soup. It's full of veggies and gives me a healthy boost when I've not been eating right.
