First off the Oystershell Garden Pot is a pretty awesome self-watering planter which can actually water a plant for up to 2 weeks. So for people like me who have busy days and forget to water, people going on vacation frequently, or even those inexperienced gardeners who are unsure of when and how much to water their plants.
I was a little unsure when I first started putting this together because of its design. I was thinking I would end up with a muddy mess of dirt in the bottom reservoir but once I got it together and the plant inside it worked out great - no mess!! The bottom reservoir is a completely separate part where you add the water and your plant can water itself as the soil dries. There is a perfect spout opening to water your plants from underneath so if you have that one day like I always have you are covered.
Now, when it comes to the Ultimate Plant Cage, If you've ever grown and edible like tomatoes or cucumbers, you know how easily they can break once the fruit begins to grow. If they don't break they bend and form strange shapes and can look unhealthy. I honestly hate growing some of these vegetables because of how hard they are to keep looking good and even alive once they get the real heavy growths.
Not only does this support the base of my plant so it doesn't pull out of the dirt or tip over and break at the base but the stakes are flexible to any angle you choose. One word of advice though, if your branches are heavy make sure you tighten the wing nuts extremely tight otherwise they will eventually droop over because of the weight. The stakes also extend either immediately for larger plants or can be extended as the plant grows. This is great because I hate nothing more than to have to re-organize a plant around a new set of stakes half way through the season. This not only takes a ton of time but risks damaging the plant.
Last but not least in any way, the Plant Clips are an extremely handy (and small) tool to have for any garden or plant. I loved the ultimate plant clips as they easily slid around a plant without causing any damage yet they still clipped tightly. I love that I no longer have to use twist ties, twine, or anything else I've grabbed in the past to hold a plant in a certain place. These keep from damaging the plant like something else would normally. They also blend in and look adorable on your plants!
