The Dog Who Saved Easter DVD Review and #Giveaway
Of course just in time for the Easter holiday, Lionsgate is releasing The Dog Who Saved Easter on DVD exclusively at Walmart on April 8th, 2014. It will also be available the same day on Video On Demand and Pay-Per-View. With an all star cast like Mario Lopez, Dean Cain, Patrick Muldoon, it's gotta be a good one for the family! I thought this movie would be perfect to get my kids into the Easter spirit since Easter is just around the corner.
The synopsis says "It’s Easter and everyone’s favorite K-9 has returned! The Bannisters are heading out on a family cruise and sending Zeus to doggie day care. Everything is going according to plan until the daycare’s crosstown rival hires a trio of crooks to sabotage the fledgling business. Zeus will make some new friends and new enemies as he uses all his tricks to save the daycare and Easter!"
It's quite funny as Declan falls asleep every time we watch this movie, so I not sure his opinion on it although he keeps asking to watch it. Dane on the other hand has watched it two or three times and says he likes it. We have not seen the other movies with the popular dog Zeus before but there are references throughout that the burglars and others recognize him. I enjoyed watching how the love stories developed throughout with the action and fun of Zeus. In the end Zeus of course saves the day!
Suggested Retail Pricing: $19.98
Recommendation: We thought this was a cute one and even Alana enjoys watching it with the boys. I don't know that it is worth the $20 bucks but it will definitely make for a cute Basket Stuffer!
Release Date: April 8, 2014
EST Date: March 18, 2014
Release Type: Walmart Exclusive
Giveaway: Lionsgate is going to give one of A Lucky Ladybug's lucky readers a The Dog Who Saved Easter on DVD of their own!
