Masik Collegiate Fragrances Review and #Giveaway

        Because I can tend to be a brand loyal person as well as one who can tend to be cheap, I find myself using very little of the premium or gourmet things I love.  I am very strange like that and always have been.  I will save something for a "special occasion" even if it means keeping it for a decade or more.  One of the things I've always done this with has been perfume.  I remember buying the last bottle of a certain discontinued brand name over 15 years ago which is still in cabinet with a tiny bit left "just in case".

        When I met my husband, I also learned he was the same in that he refused to buy cologne because of the prices for the one's he preferred. One of the things I have found over the years of doing this, is how strong the sense of smell is tied to memories.  I can spritz a tiny bit of one of these and I am flooded of a certain time or event in my life.

        When I was asked to review the perfume and colognes from Masik Collegiate Fragrances I was pretty excited and knew it was a perfect product to get the both of us into something new!  Now this is a company I've got to share with you after doing my research.  With a completely unique concept AND drive to bring back those memories to each individual of a time in their life which we all know to be unforgettable - The College Years, Katie Masik has created her line of collegiate fragrances.

        What I really found interesting was that each fragrance is created specific to it's schools and the scents that each student experiences at their individual campus.  She didn't just throw something together but surveyed students, created a product, and surveyed again until she found one that fit each university.  Can you just say wow!  What dedication and motivation to create something so unique.

        Of course, being that my husband is from Georgia and a HUGE UGA fan, we had to pick the University of Georgia Scent in both Men and Women's.  Had there been a University of MI scent, I would have scooped that one up since that is where I attended school.  So far most of the schools are based in the southeast and west.  There are 17 new universities expected to be added this fall though!

        Now each perfume and cologne can smell different on every person because of our individual make up of hormones, but both the cologne and perfume smelled pretty appealing to especially Kevin.  The women's perfume smells very flowery on my daughter and the men's cologne has a cool refreshing scent on my husband.  I think this is going to make a great gift for anyone who is an alumni or hardcore fan of one of the Universities offered. Even after it is gone I plan on saving the bottles as a decoration or collectible.

Cost/Available to purchase:  $39.50 University of Georgia 
Recommendation:  I have to say I think this is a beyond reasonable price for a cologne or perfume in a bottle of this size.  Plus the bottle itself is going to make a great collectable and gift for most any one.
