AXEL: THE BIGGEST LITTLE HERO Review and #Giveaway

You know when I first heard about a new movie coming to DVD from Arc Entertainment called AXEL: THE BIGGEST LITTLE HERO, I was thinking it would be another great super hero story for the boys to enjoy.  I had no idea what it was really about or how the boys would enjoy it.  Today, June 3rd, 2014, Arc Entertainment released AXEL: THE BIGGEST LITTLE HERO on DVD!

The synopsis says "Adventurous young Boca decides he must do something after coming to the realization that his tribe is starving. Along with his friend Nipop, he heads out in search of a magical plant from the Bonta Forest that will feed everyone and make him a hero, but the adventure is not as easy as he thought it would be. Boca and Nipop are threatened by Liza King who wants to take over the forest, but escapes with the help of a giant ostrich robot. They also become friends with a beautiful and brave princess and continue on their adventure. Will Boca be able to find the magical plant and save his tribe? Will his dream of becoming a hero ever be realized?"

Not only have I watched this movie more times than I can count, I can tell you it is now Declan's favorite movie to watch.  After watching it for the first time over a week ago, the boys both ran out of their room saying, "That was a SUPER good movie!  The lizard king was a super cool bad guy!"

They said they loved all the action while watching the lizard robots attack and how Axel fought bravely with his sidekick to save the princess.  They were a bit confused about whether to call Axel and his friends people or not but all in all they thought it was great!  I have now watched this more times than I want to admit with Declan and I too still think it is adorable!

Recommendation:  I thought the story line was awesome as not only did it have the action to keep the boys interested but the overall lesson was a good one.  Declan has even been reciting lines from the DVD over the last few days.
