Created from some major trial and error, the RazorPit was created using a thermo-plastic elastomer. The question is does it actual work and is it worth the purchase? Again with hesitation, I read the directions carefully and began trying out with the razor I had been using for weeks (because I'm too cheap to buy a new one).
By squirting a small amount of the razor cream and rubbing the razor forward on the silicon surface, I felt a bit silly. There was no way this was really going to work as you normally think of sharpening being more of a grinding feel or sound. How could gliding my razor over the silicon ever so softly actually help the blades?! Then, I quickly changed my tune as I shaved my course, hairy legs in one swipe.
With hair that grows pretty quickly, I usually have to shave over an area multiple times to get all the hair. This was not the case and only after using the RazorPit for a few short seconds! Then later that day, Kevin used the RazorPit on his razor for shaving his face and very quickly leaned out the shower to tell me how great it was working for him as well!
"On average users get 6 times the number of shaves compared to not using the RazorPIt." This has quickly made its' way around our household and we've even been sharing the news with our friends and family as this is something that ACTUALLY works! What's great about it, besides the obvious, is it works as a razor holder as well and is super easy to travel with if you are on the go.
Available to purchase/Cost: $34.12 (converted from Euros) RazorPit
Recommendation: I think this is well and worth the purchase especially if you are able to save the money buying more razors OR throwing out more razors! The cost is fairly inexpensive for the amount it will save you in the long run and it works great!
