To be honest I had never heard of Denver the Last Dinosaur but when we were first asked to review the Complete Series DVD Set including 52 episodes, I knew the boys wouldn't disagree. When I showed it to them they were pumped to watch something new in the dino world. “Denver The Last Dinosaur” Complete Series will be available from Cinedigm on DVD, on September 19th, 2014.
The synopsis says "Denver the Last Dinosaur revolves around the adventures of the last dinosaur, Denver, a Corythosaurus who has been released from his egg by a group of multicultural modern California teens: Jeremy, Mario, Shades, Wally and Casey, along with tag-along older sister, Heather. The kids teach Denver the finer points of skateboarding and other pastimes while protecting him from concert promoter Morton Fizzback who wants to use the dinosaur to make money."
Being that both boys love dinosaurs and Dane is specifically obsessed, I figured it would be a hit and I was right. Not only did we have to watch this the minute it arrived but Dane was beyond thrilled to learn he now owned the entire collection of the Classic 80's Animated Series. What an adorable and rockin' dinosaur!
Recommendation: I thought the quality of the film and even the story line was a pretty good one even being from the 80's. Even at the expensive price of $60, I think you are getting your money's worth since there are all 52 episodes.
