Slugterra: Returns of the Elementals DVD Review and #Giveaway
On September 16th, 2014, Shout Factory Kids, in collaboration with Nerd Corps Entertainment, released Slugterra: Returns of the Elementals on DVD! Also available at Walmart, I knew we had to have this one!! Since we were first asked to review the show last year, we have quickly become a family filled with Slug Slingers.
We were even given the opportunity to see this one in theaters which was a blast for the kiddos. We were even the only ones in the theater which was a surprising treat. This DVD also includes a bonus ‘slugisode’ for that little extra! I can almost guarantee that if I leave the boys home with Dad for a night, that I will return home to them watching one of the DVD's we now own.
The synopsis says "Continuing the story from the hit TV series currently airing worldwide on Disney XD, Return of the Elementals welcomes a new member to the Shane Gang: Junjie, a master of the mysterious art of Slug Fu. But even with the power of five slugslingers working together, the Shane Gang find themselves in over their heads as they race to protect the ancient Elemental Slugs, the ancestors of all slugs found in Slugterra today. In the wrong hands, they could bring Slugterra to the brink of destruction. So when an evil alliance starts hunting down the Elementals, Eli and his friends take off in pursuit of the greatest threat their world has ever faced."
There are a few surprises and secrets which come out in this film which the whole family loved. I adore this DVD and the series as a whole! I know that both the boys can actually sit contently together for hours if need be while watching this one! The boys have turned a lot of their toys into something slug related and they are constantly role playing slugterra.
Suggested Retail Pricing: $14.97
Recommendation: Both boys enjoy watching this so frequently I'd be willing to pay a bit more! I am sure if you've never heard of Slugterra, you're thinking I am crazy but I've got to tell you if you have boy, it is worth the purchase!
