Being such a big gardener comes with quite a few challenges each season. Because I depend a great deal on my crops for canning and feeding my family throughout the year, I have to take every precaution to protect them. One of the problems I've encountered is of course the common issue of small animal predators. I can tell you there is nothing more disheartening than tending to your garden to find the birds have eaten your berries, squirrels your fruit, rabbits your leafy vegetables, or worse, moles have dug massive holes under a mature plant and destroyed the roots.
So when I was asked to review the Sweeney’s® Solar Sonic Spike™ PRO with Hyperpulse Technology™ from Victor Pest, I knew it would be a must have for my garden! The more I started reading up on it the more I felt it was perfect for me. Because this solar powered, I never have to worry about batteries running out and a sneaky pest coming around. Plus, it's eco-friendly! :)
Since burrowing animals are sensitive to sound and mostly depend on it for sight, the Solar Sonic Spike PRO produces a "penetrating sonic sound and vibration every 30 seconds using Hyperpulse Technology™". This can cover up to 13,500 square feet (1/3 acre) which is perfect for my new home!
Believe it or not so far this has worked great! I've even noticed less of the other types of animals too! I love the fact that this also causes no harm to the animals either so it's humane. All it does is annoy the heck out of them so they don't come around, keeping me from being annoyed myself!
Cost/Available to purchase: $29.99
