reCAP Mason Jars Pour Cap Review

        This next product I had to get my hands on for several reasons.  First off you guys know what an environmentally conscious family the Poole household is.  Second, you all know I am quite the organizer.  And thirdly, even though I am from the North, My husband and daughter are from the South, so I have a special love in my heart for the southern style!

        Now that I’ve moved out to the country and like to stay in with the stylish idea of re-purposing mason jars into usable glasses and storage containers. I’m constantly canning throughout the Summer and Fall months.  Then throughout the rest of the year, I am emptying those jars as we eat and they just sit taking up space on a shelf.  So when Mason Jars asked me to review their original reCAP, I figured it would be a perfect addition to my kitchen.

        The reCAP Mason Jars Pour Cap - Regular Mouth is a BPA-free plastic cap which is also spill-proof and top rack dishwasher safe. The only down side is it is not microwave safe, so no heating anything with it.  Now that I have a stock of mason jars I just thought it was awesome there are pour caps that you can screw on them available.

        Not only can I use this for storing dry goods but I can use this for my morning protein smoothies which tend to be too thick for my normal glasses and straws.  It easily twists on and fits securely! The mason jar cap is light and not bulky like a lot of after market caps can be.  What ever you prefer to use it for I’m sure it will work!  I love not only the idea and concept that I can simply rinse the jar portion and use it for several different kinds of drinks or foods, all while reusing my canning jars which I no longer have lids for!

Recommendation:  Definitely worth the purchase, especially when you look at the quality and endless possibilities.  These can be washed and reused just as easily as anything out there.  My only complaint is I wish there were more available for a discounted bulk purchase price.   When you purchase multiples this can be quite pricey.
