Reed & Barton Hammered Antique Carving Set/Steak Knives Set Review and #Giveaway

Reed & Barton
Being that Kevin and I had anything but the traditional wedding process, we never actually got the traditional wedding gifts for our home.  There are several items that you usually get for a wedding shower or wedding gift that we missed out on by having a destination wedding without any of the before and after parties.  Serving ware is one big item especially with how frequently we entertain.

Not that I've missed out, but I've always wanted a nice set of silverware and serving set for those special occasions.  There is just something elegant about hosting a dinner with a beautiful table set.  When I picture this table setting, there is one brand that always comes to mind for me personally.  "For more than 190 years, Reed & Barton has enjoyed a longstanding reputation as one of the country's foremost marketers of fine tableware and gift ware."

I was sent over their Hammered Antique 2-Piece Carving Set and a Set of 4 Hammered Antique Steak Knives to review.  If you happen to read my most recent review of the Wonder Top, you know how I feel about stainless steel!  Both sets come packaged for gift-giving and safe storage.

I love the antique look and that both sets are made from a heavy gauge 18/10 stainless steel so you know they are going to last for years.  Not only does stainless steel clean much easier than most other surfaces (ie. plastic, ceramic, wood, acrylic) but it prevents bacteria from developing in the cracks and crevices like it can with those others.  The sets are also dishwasher safe!

With a "Flawless Finish and Superb Balance", you can be sure your slices will always be with ease and accuracy.  I am truly looking forward to our Thanksgiving Dinner in a few weeks where I can show off my new Serving Set for all my guests to enjoy (and drool over).

Available to purchase/Cost:  $40 Set of 4 Hammered Antique Steak Knives
$40 Hammered Antique 2-Piece Carving Set
Recommendation:  I love, love, love both sets.  I have to be honest, after looking into the price of nice serving sets, silverware, and dinnerware, the pricing found here is beyond reasonable.  I would say that the Carving Set could be a bit cheaper for my liking but the quality pays for itself.
