        I am always looking for new toys for my kids to play with and now that they are getting into role playing, I am trying to find ones that inspire imagination in their play.  Recently I was asked to review some adorable little characters called Calico Critters.  I was sent over the Calico Critters Cozy Cottage.  Once it arrived the kids had a hard time waiting to open it as we had planned to wait until a night where both the girls and boys would be together (and we might get a night to enjoy to ourselves while they play).

        Calico Critters are tiny little animal families that have a multitude of houses, play-sets, and animal family sets that can make any parent lose their minds with all the little pieces laying around.  However, despite all the small pieces this is a darling play-set in which kids can use their imagination to interact with each other or play by themselves.  The Cozy Cottage is exactly as it sounds, an adorable little cottage playhouse for these tiny animals.  With over 15 accessories included, this set really comes with everything you need.

        The boys love that they can "build" their own home in a way by setting up the rooms with furniture.  The kids love using their imagination and have even started asking fro more characters.  I am sure that adding to their Calico Critter collection will be top on their Christmas list.  It's hard to find a product that both the boys and Alana want to play with together.  Animals seems to be the one thing they both agree on seeing as we have a family full of pets ourselves.

Recommendation: My kids really like playing with the Calico Critters and the Discovery Forest. I think this product is made to last and get lots of use, I recommend any of the Calico Critters products to anyone who's children love to play make believe.
