Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Review and Signing Event
Because we are such a big movie family, I knew the kids would definitely enjoy the newly released Guardians of the Galaxy. I was actually not into seeing it myself as the story line I saw in the previews just hadn't appealed to me. But with such an all-star cast it really is hard to go wrong. From Marvel Studios, Guardians of the Galaxy was released to Blu-ray™ 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray and On-Demand on December 9th, 2014!
The synopsis says "The Marvel Cinematic Universe expands into the cosmos when brash space adventurer Peter Quill steals a coveted orb and becomes the object of a relentless bounty hunt. To evade his enemies, Quill forges an uneasy truce with Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly assassin Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb, he must rally his ragtag band of misfits for a desperate battle that will decide the fate of the galaxy. Featuring amazing new characters and exclusive bonus features, this must-own blockbuster will have you hooked on a feeling… of pure adrenaline!"
The first night this arrived we turned it on to watch as a family as we put up our Christmas tree. No one ended up paying attention to it other than Kevin and he told us all we really had missed out. So the next day we had an all out lazy movie day as a family and Guardians of the Galaxy was our first choice. We absolutely loved it including myself. The story and how it changes to all play out for the better of the galaxy was very creative as well as the unique characters.
Included in the Blu-ray pack are several bonus materials including: Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes, Making-of Featurettes, Exclusive Look at “Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron”, Gag Reel, Audio Commentary. We especially enjoyed the gag reel as a whole for the family! I loved all the actors especially Chris Pratt and my kiddos loved Bradley Cooper as the raccoon mutation.
Recommendation: I would recommend this for anyone at any age and especially for families. It would even make a great gift to someone this holiday! There are parts of the movie that appeal to all personalities!
