The Tom and Jerry Show Season 1 Part 2: Funny Side Up Review and #Giveaway


        On January 13th, 2015 Warner Bros. released The Tom and Jerry Show Season 1 Part 2: Funny Side Up.  I had original agreed to review this one for the kids as I thought they might enjoy watching something that Mom and Dad used to as children.  Then it arrived and Kevin was ecstatic!  Apparently he had watched it much more frequently than I as a child.


        The synopsis says "The timeless adventures of Tom and Jerry are back in a brand-new TV show the whole family can enjoy! The Tom and Jerry Show Season 1 Part 2: Funny Side Up features 13 exciting escapades featuring Tom and Jerry and their favorite pals, including Spike and Tuffy.  The pursuit takes off as Tom, Jerry and the gang fly through unfriendly skies in Just Plane Nuts.

Detectives Tom and Jerry are on the case to find Spike’s missing dog bones in Bone Dry. Love is in the air when a mad scientist transports Tom and Jerry to Paris to meet a girl cat and a girl mouse in Molecular Break Up. Jerry and Tuffy cause havoc on a luxury cruise liner in Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’. These and several other hilarious episodes are featured in this entertaining set."

        Not only was Kevin thrilled to sit down and watch this himself, but he and the boys enjoyed all 13 episodes one day while Alana and I were out shopping.  From what they all had to report, it was hilarious and lots of fun to watch with Daddy.  I definitely can't wait to find the time to sit down myself to enjoy this classic.

DVD SRP: $19.97
Recommendation:  I think that it is definitely worth the cost if you've watched this in the past and the quality is as good as ever!  Kevin and the boys gave this a thumbs up all around.

    I can't pick just one!! I like Looney Toons, Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Tiny Toons, Scooby Doo, My little Pony, The Magic School Bus....Can't think of the others right now, but there are more!

    My all time fave growing up was the Smurfs, love loved them, and yes I still do..my dh and kids have got me the 2 movies as presents 👏👏👍👍

    Oh man, it's so hard to choose! I grew up on Saturday morning cartoons. I would have to say any of the Looney Tunes...I mean classic all the way.

    My all time favorite cartoon is the Flintstones. It doesn't get better than that...looking back as an adult I wonder how I understood the humor, but I guess I did because it's stuck with me for years!
