My Little Pony Tales: The Complete Classic DVD Review and #Giveaway
Now I have been a My Little Pony fan since I was a little girl, but I never expected as a mother of boys to be still watching the lovable ponies two decades later! I am definitely the type of parent that allows my children to explore whatever things they choose but I have to say a small part of me giggles with excitement that I can still continue to watch some of the shows I used love since the boys have similar entertainment available to them.
On April 28th, 2015, Shout Factory Kids, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, releases My Little Pony Tales: The Complete Classic on DVD! This 2-DVD set collection will include all 13 episodes of the show, originally airing on television in 1992, plus a few classic sing-alongs! Obviously, technology has changed since way back when I used to watch the cartoon which makes for some truly great graphics and shows for today's little ones. However, its always nice to go back and watch the originals which started such an amazing trend more than three decades later like MLP.
The synopsis says "Ponyland is full of excitement, if you know where to find it, and now all of your favorite My Little Pony Tales are finally collected in one amazing set! Join the 7 Pony Friends—Starlight, Sweetheart, Melody, Bright Eyes, Patch, Clover and Bon Bon — for 13 episodes of outrageous fun! Games, picnics, ice cream shops, roller derbies and even UFOs… nothing is off-limits when it comes to grand Pony adventures!"
Dane was thrilled to watch this DVD set as I knew he would be! Although with this one, he was a bit disappointed since he didn't really recognize characters being they were the classic version. We still enjoyed watching these as the boys were interested in the fact that Mommy used to watch this version.
Recommendation: If your a long time fan I definitely recommend this classic DVD set! Even if you didn't watch it back in the day, your kiddos are sure to still enjoy a different version with new stories to them!
