I have always been one of those occasional tea drinkers. I definitely always enjoyed a hot glass with some honey when I would feel sick in the evenings. Then when I first moved down south I realized tea was great to have in other ways and for other reasons. This goes hand in hand with honey and the variety of ways you can use it.
Lately, I've been searching to find an organic honey brand which my family will love. Now I am not a sugary, sweets loving person at all and in fact barely use sugar for much. When a recipe calls for sugar, I almost always will substitute honey because of the health benefits it can have. What a lot of people don't know (including myself) is how sugar can actually affect our bodies. It has also become quite the epidemic causing ingredient when it comes to the problem our society has with obesity.
I was more than thrilled AND eager when I was asked to review the Golden Blossom Honey. With all the effort I've been making to transition my family into a cleaner and healthier lifestyle, this just seamed to be perfect timing. Golden Blossom natural honey comes from USA and the organic honey comes from Brazil, each made with secret and unique blend.
Not only do I drink tea with milk and honey but I also bake with honey quite frequently. On top of that, we use honey when the kids sick and are refusing medicine as well as when allergies hit our house bad. The Golden Blossom honey could not have come at a better time than this past week since Alana and I have been struggling quite a bit with our allergies (Alana more-so than me).
We've been using a recipe similar to Golden Blossom's Ginger and Honey Citrus Sore Throat Home Treatment to keep the drainage clear in both our throats. Alana has become pretty satisfied with using a warm, damp cloth with a dab of honey rubbed into it on her eyes in the evening when they swell from the allergies. Not only does this relieve the inflammation but it helps ease the itching too!
The Golden Blossom Natural honey has a sweet and smooth taste unlike anything you could imagine buying at a grocery store. We haven't had this in the house for much longer than two weeks and our four large bottles have quickly turned into two because how much we are using this with everything!
Cost/Available to purchase: Golden Blossom - There isn't a store locator for Golden Blossom, but there are store locators for each of the retailers that sell our products. I would suggest Shoprite, Stop and Shop, Giant, Demoulas Market Basket, Publix, ACME, AP, Pathmark, Key Food, Shaw's, Redner's, Shopper's, and Target (northeast region). You can also find it on Amazon - Golden Blossom
Recommendation: This is worth the purchase even if it ends up that it is on the higher cost end because of the quality you are getting. There are so many uses for a honey of this quality and taste!!

ReplyDeleteI like that on your site it is fairly easy to comment and I don't have to search all over for the comment button or scroll down a three mile page to comment then scroll three miles back up for the top of the page.
ReplyDeleteI like that your page loads well. The graphics are nice but, do not overwhelm the browser and load fully quickly. I like that you keep you images smaller and that helps with page loads.
I would like more contest sites to view their pages as contestants and realize how poorly their sites load and copy from you.
Now the dislikes... (which are mostly about contest stuff) I don't blog EXCEPT where required as a contest entry so, to have that one on a contest as to add a linky etc could be dropped in my opinion. I don't think bloggers who have a contest ie., 1 of 50 in a father's day contest should be allowed to enter the contest of any of the other 49. If the contest is one they are part of they should be eliminated from the entry
Also it should be posted not only to those who enter the contest but, those who run them and have people sign up to take part that THEY also have to follow back (especially on twitter). It really is not fair that I maxed out 1 twitter account and I am using a second account and tweet deck to keep up. I am limited to 2001 until I boost my followers. It should be required GOLDEN RULE if you want followers to follow back for those wanting us all to follow them.
