Peanuts: Emmy® Honored Collection DVD Review and #Giveaway


        For those in my generation, you can probably say the you watched the Peanuts growing up.  The holidays especially just don't seem the same without the Peanuts gang.  I've grown up with them in all parts of my life and remember loving Charley Brown's Christmas Tree, so much that I always wanted a tree that looked like his!


        So when asked to review the recent release Peanuts: Emmy® Honored Collection, I knew it was something I wanted to share with my kids.  On September 15th, 2015 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases Peanuts: Emmy® Honored Collection.  Featuring 11 Peanuts specials that have been remastered in all-new 4K Ultra HD.

        The synopsis says "Take a bow, Charlie Brown! Now fans have a front-row seat to a showcase of the most prestigious Peanuts features ever assembled into one collection.  Peanuts: Emmy® Honored Collection includes 11 animated television specials on two discs. All of the specials featured in this release were recognized with either an Emmy® Award win or nomination. All specials have been remastered for gorgeous picture and sound quality. It’s a collection full of big laughs, best friends and life lessons that will delight the whole family."

        Funny thing is when my oldest son was a baby, we called him Charley Brown constantly and bought him all sorts of Charley Brown clothing and other products.  Now, I can share the same joy I had as a child and as he was an infant with him.  Our whole family truly enjoyed sitting together this past week for our family night watching the special episodes.

DVD SRP: $26.99
Recommendation:  I think that it is definitely worth the cost if you've watched this in the past and as a child or adult.  The quality is better than ever and our whole family gives this a thumbs up all around.  The cost is definitely in line with what you are getting out of the collection.

    I loved wood wood pecker, especially chilly willy. I read a lot of charlie brown books and strips growing up. I've always had a soft spot for linus and his blanket!

    Oh Snoopy is our favorite! One of my favorite classic shows is The Brady Bunch! Carter really loves watching the Peanuts shows and always laughs so hard at Snoopy!

    I like snoopy and charlie brown. I still think it is funny that lucy always takes the football away right when he is about to kick it. I always hoped in one show that she would keep it there just to see if he would kick it.

    Although I love all the Peanuts characters, Schroader has always been my favorite because he plays the piano. As for classic TV, I have to see the Charlie Brown Christmas special at least once each holiday season.

    I think the Flintstones is a great classic TV show. Can you believe my kids don't like it/????? Crazy, right? We all love Peanuts though. I think Charlie is my fave, but Snoopy is a def. close second.
