Pound Puppies: A Rare Pair DVD Review and #Giveaway
With being a huge pet family, we absolutely love the Pound Puppies cartoon. The boys constantly play games where one is an animal of sort especially with their toddler cousin. With the month of love upon us, what better reason that to fall in love with another adorable Pound Puppies movie than now. On January 19th, 2016, Shout Factory Kids, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, releases Pound Puppies: A Rare Pair on DVD!
The synopsis says "Lucky, Niblet, Cookie, Squirt and Strudel are back for five more exciting adventures of the Pound Puppies! From trying to get a kitten and a puppy adopted into the same home, to trying to place an alligator named Rover(!), to sneaking into the Kennel Kittens’ compound to retrieve a stolen gadget, this team of determined canines will do whatever it takes to find the perfect loved ones for each and every pet at Shelter 17!"
All of our dogs being rescues, the boys know the importance in this and watching the cartoon, I think its so touching to see them learn these morals from watching our own examples and seeing it reinforced in the shows they watch. The boys thoought this one was exceptionally sweet. Even both Alana and I enjoyed watching the puppies AND kittens fall in love with the perfect person!
Suggested Retail Pricing: $12.99 Pound Puppies: A Rare Pair https://www.shoutfactory.com/kids/kids-animation/pound-puppies-a-rare-pair
Recommendation: Both boys enjoyed watching this and as I said I thought it was pretty cute! I definitely think at $13 its worth it to purchase since I know we sure have watched our moneys worth and will continue to! The stories are just so sweet and touching!

ReplyDeleteRight now I do not have a pet, but I did have a cat that we rescued. He was wonderful and we had him for 11 years. We will get another cat one day. I had a toy poodle also when I was young that I loved very much!

ReplyDeleteWe currently have two cats that are purebred Siberians. At the time I sought out the breed, I was looking for a hypo-allergenic cat because my very allergic niece visited often. (She can cuddle up to my Siberians with no issue.) Siberians were very new to the US and carefully monitored... all were re-homed by the original breeders and didn't end up in shelters or rescues... so rescue wasn't an option at that time. I have had many amazing rescue pets in my life, and would always take that route first when it's an option.
ReplyDeleteI grew up watching pound puppies! I was also lucky enough to collect all of the plush puppies too! Unfortunately I lost all of the plushies and toys in a fire when I was 10. So this post brought back so many great memories of my Pound Puppies days. Thanks for this post and giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have dogs! They're rescues. I don't believe in buying dogs when there are so many in the pound.
ReplyDeleteWe have a rescue cat and a rescue dog.
ReplyDeleteI have a teacup yorkie that is a purebred, only about 1.7 lbs.
ReplyDeleteWe have a wonderful Brussels Griffon who we adopted when he was 9 months old (he is now 9 years old) from the shelter. He is our first baby. We love him so! Thanks for the chance to win. Julie smartsavvymama@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteWe have 3 6 month old full blood pitbull pups, 2 females (Lil Bit & Lily) & 1 male (Rocco). They aren't technically rescues, but their mom kept climbing her owners fence & they told us that if she did it one more time then we could have her, they just kinda failed to let us know she was pregnant, and 2 wks later she had 11 puppies. & after rehoming the others we only have the 3 left.
ReplyDeletewe have a cat from the local shelter, he's spoiled now
ReplyDeleteI have 2 dogs and 2 cats and out of the 4, 3 are rescues and 2 are mixed breeds.

ReplyDeleteWe have a rescue dog named Bubba and he is a miniature schnauzer.
ReplyDeleteWe have 4 cats that are spoiled rotten. My "Momma" cat had the other 3 cats before she was fixed. We had taken her from someone who was giving her away at our local flea market. All 4 are fixed now.
ReplyDeleteWe have 3 cats and 3 dogs. All of them are rescue pets who we love with all of our hearts.
