Who doesn't love the holiday season for one reason or another?! While we can tend to be a big Halloween family, we've got a house full of kids so we of course love celebrating the entire Winter season filled with holidays. We recently decided to put the kids in charge of this years Christmas. Instead of focusing on the typical decor we pull out each year, we let the kids pick their own new decor as well as special crafts which we would fill each week with.
Now of course this means we got our shopping on at Oriental Trading...maybe even more than once. This way we are saving while still being able to celebrate without cutting back. The kids made the first purchase and we made a second one. I was able to snag a bunch of stocking stuffers and toys as well as some christmas candy for everyone to enjoy during the different holiday parties we have. We've also been thinking ahead to the Christmas Parties at school so they found a few ideas for games they could play with all their friends. I also knew I needed a Santa suit for Duncan to wear this year as we had gotten rid of ours when we didn't expect to have another.
But I have to say that the biggest hit out either of the purchases this year has been the Plush Funny Face Snowballs. These plush indoor snowballs have goofy faces and are softer than actual snow. We've had so many snowball wars in our house over the past month, I've lost count. What's even better than having to go outside and freeze in the snow is that every age can use these without struggling too. Duncan (our 1 year old) picks them up and throws them just like everyone else! It's been serious fun for the whole family!
Believe me when I say, you could spend hours shopping on their site as I've easily done so each time I start planning a celebration. You will find it is totally worth a look and the prices are very reasonable and less than anywhere else I've found so far. What I love is that even though we are in the Christmas season now, they still have thousands of Christmas products on sale too. I cannot begin to brag enough about this company and how much money it can save you!
