6 Natural Ways to Use Aromatic Oils

*Read my Disclosure
Some scented oils are versatile and have many uses for daily routines and essential items. If you’re contemplating using oil as an alternative, you should ensure that it’s safe to use. Considering they’re ready-made for additives such as natural essential oils, you may have to experiment to find your staple for regular use.

1. Car Freshener
Many car fresheners on the market contain toxic ingredients that can be harmful through inhalation. They’re available in various sizes, shapes, and types and are drenched with artificial components. Not only do they expire quickly after air exposure, but they also develop an unpleasant, stale odor. However, they remain popular and are bought in droves by customers who are unaware of the risks.

One method to freshen your car with fragrance oil is a small bottle (filled with oil contents) along with a clip that attaches to your air conditioner vents. As cool or warm air blows, the scent circulates.

2. Home Deodorizer
Commercial home deodorizers can have adverse effects on allergy-prone individuals. They’re available in powerful sprays and mists that release poisonous fumes and could cause severe illnesses. Air fresheners are notorious for containing compressed gases such as butane, propane, and isobutene. You can find the same toxins in furniture deodorizers and air mists.  Naturally scented oils are less harsh and less prone to contaminate the air and your system.

3. Scented Soap
While many soaps are processed with strange ingredients, you can start from scratch with non-scented soap. You need only a few drops on your favorite cleansing bar or in a liquid body wash. Or you can add a natural fragrance to your hand soap.

4. Carpet Freshener
One typical method to deodorize carpet is with a powdered freshener applied directly to the material. However, it fails to provide a long-lasting scent and remains in the creases. Due to its grainy texture, it never dissolves and could be accidentally ingested by a curious pet. Yet only a tiny amount of scented oil in specific areas is enough as an efficient deodorizer.

5. Homemade Perfume
Store-bought perfumes are expensive and contain alcohols that preserve their shelf life. However, health risks can become a severe issue if a particular perfume is used consistently. Inhalation and accidental consumption are common and often occur due to the close range of the mist. The solution is poisonous to your system and could also affect other individuals around you.

A DIY perfume mixed with essential oils allows you to create your signature fragrance. You can combine a few at a time for a botanical scent or stick with a particular favorite.

6. Laundry Deodorizer
Considering many laundry items are made with harsh chemicals, they can intensify odors. Essential scented oil is a natural alternative compared to fabric softener. Although it should be applied to damp clothing, fabric, and other materials, it's gentle on the skin. It has a pleasant scent that contrasts with many chemically scented laundry products.

There are countless ideas to incorporate aromatic oils to fit your specific needs. You can be as creative as you wish with the right choices to get the most out of your fragrances.
